Supporting Writing at home

This document provides some information on how to support and encourage to write at home. Writing for purpose is an important way of encouraging writing. Children enjoying writing shopping lists, birthday cards and letters to family and friends. Could your child write a postcard when you are next on a trip or day out? Remember to keep an eye out for our writing SPLAT events that give lots more information on writing at GTS and how you can support your child at home and learn about how your child is taught writing in school. We have a parent workshop on 7th June 2024 which we would love for you to attend.
