Online Safety

At Glastonbury Thorn school we strive to make our children competent and safe online users; building the firm foundations of how to safely navigate the internet for research, communication, coding and creating digital content. 

Every year we celebrate Safer Internet Day by taking part in a range of online activities and signing a user agreement to understand how we can keep ourselves safe when online. Each lesson E-Safety is reinforced through flashbacks, real life scenarios discussed and shared with the children and teacher modelling to show how we keep safe when playing games online and sharing information with others. 

We also share weekly updates with parents through Mr Cursley's blog which highlights particular dangers our children may face with playing games online at home.
