WAIL: I understand and can retell some parts of the story of Christmas

We have had an absolutely fantastic time learning all about Christmas. We have had Christmas themed activities set up in our provision which has been so exciting for the children! They have had a Christmas themed home corner, a phonics Christmas tree to read words to decorate, writing all about our story ‘The Polar Express’ and much more. The children have had an incredible time preparing to put on a Nativity show. The children have practised the songs very carefully, practised putting on and taking off their costumes, they have practised their lines and put on three amazing performances of our show! The children then could re-enact and retell the story of Christmas and understood the key characters. The children then finished off the celebrations with a Foundation Christmas party!
