Reading Splat event

On Thursday 7th November KS1 parents were invited in to school for a reading SPLAT event. The parents listened to a presentation delivered by Mrs Clay to hear about how reading is taught at Glastonbury Thorn and how they can support their child at home. Parents were then able to come into the classrooms and share some books with their children. There was a great turnout of parents for this event and the children loved being able to share some of their favourite texts with their parents.
