Forest School Christmas - December 2024

Christmas fun!

WAIL: I can co-operate with others as part of a group.

WAIL: I can understand how we celebrate traditions.

WAIL: I can say the season we are in.

The children or should we say ‘elves’ had a fabulous time this week for our last Forest school session of the term. Before beginning, the children all ‘elfed’ up by popping on an elf hat. Our Chief Elf explained that we would be taking part in a range of fun activities to celebrate Christmas traditions. We spilt into three groups and took it in turns to participate in a range of festive activities. The first activity was to make a pine Christmas tree card, adding lots of decorations with glue to send to our families, the second was to make delicious reindeer food to take home and the third (and by far children’s favourite!) was to toast and then eat marshmallows by the fire! We all had such a lovely afternoon and a great start to our Christmas celebrations.
