CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS AT GTS on Wednesday 16th December 2020
Dear Parents/Carers
On Wednesday 16th December we will be celebrating Christmas at Glastonbury Thorn School with lots of exciting events and activities.
Once again we will be supporting the Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day. Children are invited to wear a Christmas themed jumper, t-shirt or accessory for a suggested donation of £1.00 (children should wear school uniform trousers or skirt and shoes). Donations can be made via ParentMail – Payments – Shop which is already available to add your donation and will be open until 3pm on Wednesday 16th December – please note we are unable to accept any cash into school. During the morning the children will be having a special Christingle Assembly in their classrooms where they will be singing a Christmas Carol.
At lunchtime children will be able to have a hot Christmas Lunch in the hall, if you have previously booked this for your child.
It is also the children's Christmas party in the afternoon and we will have a special visit from Father Christmas. The children may wear party clothes (green, red and sparkly) instead of a Christmas Jumper if they wish but please remember sensible shoes and a coat.
