• Summer Bash!

  We would like to thank everyone who came and supported Glastonbury Thorn school in our fabulous Summer Bash! What a fantastic evening we all had; eating, drinking, balloon racing and playing games! The ‘Coconut shy’, ‘Tombola’, ‘Hook a duck’, ‘Tin can alley,’ and ‘Splat a rat’ being some of the favourites!

   

  Thank you to our sponsors Urban and Rural Estate Agents and the wider school community for providing a wonderful range of prizes in the evening’s raffle. Winners enjoyed a luxury Fortnum and Mason Hamper, a fabulous 5* weekend away, family day tickets to Centre Parcs and Silverstone tickets.

   

  A huge thank you to our school’s Friends Association for organising such a brilliant event, the evening raised an amazing total of £4,600 which will go towards new school resources.

  

• Farewell Mrs Webb

  We would like to take this opportunity to say goodbye and a heartfelt thank you to Mrs Fiona Webb who will be leaving her role as Glastonbury Thorn’s Head Teacher at the end of this academic year.

  She has been a dedicated and hardworking Head teacher for 20 years and for the past 13 she has led the team at Glastonbury Thorn to be the ‘Outstanding’ school which it is today.

  Fiona will be fondly remembered by both past and present children, their families and school staff who have had the pleasure of working with her.

  Although sad to say goodbye we wish her all the very best in her new venture…remember every day getting better and better in every way!
