WAIL: identify seasonal changes around them and how they affect them
Wow, what an amazing learning opportunity we were presented with when we had a change in the weather! We all woke up to a very frosty day and we were so happy to see during our school day that the snow started to fall. We discussed the changes in the weather and the conditions of ice and snow it produced. We talked about the clothes we need to wear during Winter as we will be out in the cold weather and took the opportunity to go outside and experience the snow first hand. We enjoyed touching the snow, feeling the cold weather on our skin and tasting it by holding our tongues out upward to the sky as the snow was falling. We identified how the snow melted when it got warm in our hands and how it was slowly melting as the sun was coming out.
After we played in the snow we went back inside to warm up again and by lunchtime most of the snow had melted and we were thankful we made the most of it while it was there!
