Christmas Celebrations December 2025

Christmas fun!

WAIL: I can co-operate with others as part of a group.

WAIL: I can understand how we celebrate traditions.

WAIL: I can say the season we are in.

The children or should we say ‘elves’ had a fabulous time this week for our last Forest school session of the term. Before beginning, the children all ‘elfed’ up by popping on an elf hat. Our Chief Elf explained that we would be taking part in a range of fun activities to celebrate Christmas traditions. We spilt into groups and took it in turns to participate in a range of festive activities. The children enjoyed decorating Christmas trees in our outside area making them very festive indeed! The children were then very excited to have the opportunity to  toast marshmallows by the fire to make delicious smores! They all loved eating them! We had such a lovely afternoon and a great start to our Christmas celebrations.

We were also lucky to have Reverend Mike come and share a Christingle assembly with the children, he read them the Nativity story and explained the symbolism of the Christingle. The children loved seeing the lit Christingle and singing Christmas carols together.
