Writing Week May 2025
On Monday 12th May, something incredible happened at Glastonbury Thorn School – a giant egg was discovered in a nest on the school field! Mrs Potter shared the surprising news during assembly, and the children couldn’t wait to get back to class and share their ideas about what might be inside and who could have laid it!
Everyone got involved in the mystery:
🟡 Foundation Stage children wrote fantastic captions for the egg.
🟡 Year 1 asked some cracking questions and made their own exciting predictions.
🟡 Year 2 planned and wrote amazing stories all about what happened when the egg began to crack...
It’s been an egg-straordinary week full of imagination, wonder, and creativity!
