Helping our children know more, remember more and share their learning at home

Welcome to our GTS Knowledge Organisers.

Our Knowledge Organisers give families a simple, colourful snapshot of some of the important knowledge, vocabulary and skills children are developing in school.

They are designed for children and grown-ups to explore together – not as extra homework!

👀 LOOK at the pictures and important vocabulary together.

💬 TALK about what your child is learning and make connections with things you have experienced together.

❓ ASK one of our Ask Me... questions. If your child doesn't know yet, come back to it later in the topic!

⭐ TRY one of our optional home-learning ideas or challenge yourselves to discover something new.

Even five minutes of conversation can help children revisit their learning, make connections and know more and remember more.

And if your child becomes curious and wants to go further – brilliant!

They might create something, investigate a question, take a photograph, find an interesting fact or complete one of our suggested challenges. We would love them to bring their learning into school and share it with us.

There is no pressure and no expectation – just an opportunity to be curious and enjoy learning together.

Learning doesn't happen all at once. We encourage our children to have a go, make mistakes, ask questions, practise and keep going.
