Special Educational Needs and Disability

Glastonbury Thorn is an inclusive school. We work closely with a wide range of external agencies to support the learning of all our children.

We are committed to providing a fully accessible environment which values and includes all pupils, staff, parents and visitors. We are further committed to challenging attitudes about disability and accessibility and developing a culture of awareness, tolerance and inclusion.

The School's Accessibility Plan covers the following 3 areas:

• increasing the extent to which pupils with disabilities can participate in the curriculum;
• improving the school's physical environment to increase the extent to which pupils with disabilities can take advantage of the education, benefits, facilities or services offered;
• Improving the delivery to pupils with disabilities of information that is readily accessible to pupils without disabilities.
