  • “Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.” ― Roald Dahl. Year 2 found the magic!!!

    Tue 17 Mar 2015

Our Year 2 children had a brilliant time visiting the ‘The Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery’ in Great Aylesbury.

Their fun packed day consisted of discovering inventions with Willy Wonka, investigating minibeasts inside a giant peach, crawling along fantastic Mr Fox’s tunnel, exploring sounds with the BFG and making their own gruesome Twit’s beards! Everyone had a fantastic day and learnt lots along the way!

  • Mum’s return to school just for fun!!

    Mon 16 Mar 2015

In the beautiful June sunshine we opened our doors for a fun packed afternoon to be enjoyed with all of our children’s lovely Mums!

Our ever so popular event was kicked off in flamboyant style by ‘The Great Gappo’. Mums and children alike were wowed by his circus tricks and enjoyed having a go themselves after the show!

Other activities on offer included den building, rocket making and launching, boat building/ sailing and a whole host of exciting arts and crafts activities.

The afternoon was a huge success and we know the children absolutely loved sharing what they do in school with their loved ones. It was fabulous to see so many Mums, Aunts, Grandmothers and Sisters join us for the afternoon.

Thank you to all who attended, to our local Play Association for providing some of the activities and to ‘The Great Gappo’ for sharing his circus skills with us!

    Just some of our fantastic feedback after the event;

“It’s just great to come and be involved at the school. As a parent it gives an insight into my child’s time at school”.

“The event made me love the school even more! There were lovely, friendly staff everywhere.”

“It was lovely to meet some of the other mums – now I have made some new friends too!”

“My daughter gave me a tour of all her favourite places in school – where she likes to spend her time most.”

  • Walk on the Wild Side!

    Mon 16 Mar 2015

Our Year 1 children have loved sharing the wonderful ‘Percy the Park Keeper’ story series through their topics; ‘Whatever the weather’ and ‘Walk on the Wild Side!’

They have been on a series of walks within our local parks/woods making these stories come alive! The children have learnt so much through observing the seasonal changes, animal habitats and behaviours and the plant life that they found in our local area. They took part in lots of exciting activities, making nests, creating spring collages, learning about the real life habitats of the animals from the stories and much more! The walks were a great success and everyone enjoyed them.

Thank you to all of the parents who accompanied the children.
