Counting on to add game!

For this game you will need a pack of playing cards and a dice, if you haven't got these don't worry, you could just choose a number, or make a set of number cards to play with. The game is designed to be played with a partner but you can always play alone too.

How to play the game

Place the cards face down, each player must pick a card from the top of the pack then roll the dice. You need to add them together by counting on from the larger number. Who scored the highest is the winner! You can repeat this 5 times and keep a score of your totals, who is the overall winner?

As a challenge you could write the number sentences to match.

Helicopter Rescue A game to practise your new counting on skills. Click on the game and select 'count on and back' then select 1-20 first. If your child is able to do this then you can select a higher number set. Have fun!
