Dictate some tricky words for your child to write down.  Once they can spell them, try dictating a short sentence using the spellings you have practised with them.




Music - Rhythm

Clap the rhythm of the days of the week: Mon – day, Tues – day etc. Which is the day that is different? Why?

Do the same with names of vegetables. Which vegetable gives the most ‘claps’? Try with your family members names.
