Teach phoneme/grapheme: No new sounds today
Practise Oral Blending: Using a puppet or toy pretend they are talking like a robot. Ask the puppet what it would like for tea – whisper in ear and sound out – ch-ee-se, h-a-m, f-i-sh, cake (c-ai-k), s-ou-p (s-oo-p), p-ie. Only use 1 syllable words. You could also ask the toy what it likes to do eg h-o-p, j-u-m-p, s-i-ng, r-u-n, r-ea-d, p-l-ay etc.

Revisit Review: Recap the sounds, pictures and songs for sounds learnt so far
Teach: Show children the grapheme ff. Explain that this is a digraph and the two letters make one sound 'f'.
Apply: Have a selection of objects out in front of you tin, hat, top, cup, mug, pin, lid, mop, pot. Ask your child to sound talk like a puppet saying the different sounds that they can hear in the words.
