Using the characters below, colour them in and cut them out to make a stick puppet (you can use a spoon, pencil etc as the stick).  Can you re-tell the story of We're Going on a Bear Hunt.  You can watch the video from Monday to help you.

Teach phoneme/grapheme:  Introduce the sound ‘f’ for flower  Sing the Jolly Phonics song and learn the action.

Phase 1:  Using the Powerpoint below see if you can spot the rhyming words.

Revisit sounds taught this week; g, o, c, k, ck, e

Practise oral blending: say the following words and ask your child to blend them together; c-a-t, t-a-n, j-a-m, w-e-t, f-a-n, b-i-g, m-a-p, b-u-g, p-i-p, c-u-p, s-e-t.

Beginning oral segmenting; ask your child what sounds they can hear in the following words; sun, cat, map, rug. If they are unsure of the middle and end sounds start by exaggerating these so they are able to begin to hear them.

memory game -Get 4 object and give your child 1 minute to memorise them. Then  place a towel on top and take 1 away ask your child what is missing.
