WAIL to understand how animals survive in frozen water during the winter
Success criteria: I can say how animals survive in the pond in winter
Today we will be thinking scientifically and using our maths skills to do an experiment to help us understand how animals survive in a pond during the winter.
You will need:
a small container 3/4 full of water
some small plastic toys that sink to the bottom
A thermometer, for measuring the temperature of the water
(If you have a thermometer you will be able to do your experiment independently, if not follow the teaching video and record the temperatures that Mrs Pritchard measures, and observe the changes in your own container).
You will need to stop start the video to investigate your own experiment and record the temperatures in your table.
